I’m proud to call Western Maryland home. I grew up in Frostburg, Maryland, and graduated from Mountain Ridge High School before earning my bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry. In 2016, I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University.

After graduation, I continued to pursue advanced education through an orthopedic manual therapy residency program with the Virginia Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Institute. In 2017, I became board certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy (OCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, demonstrating advanced knowledge and clinical expertise in the field of orthopedics.I spent two years practicing in Winchester, Virginia, before returning home to Western Maryland, where I have had the privilege of serving the community for more than eight years through UPMC Western Maryland.

Throughout my career, I have remained committed to advancing my knowledge and bringing evidence-informed care to the people I work with. I have presented at local and national conferences on the efficacy of manual therapy in orthopedic populations and have published several case reports in the Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy (JOSPT). I now also serve as a peer reviewer for the journal.

My interest in understanding the relationship between the body, movement, and the nervous system led me to further my education through a semester-long certification program with the International Spine and Pain Institute, where I became a specialist in Pain Neuroscience Education.

In 2024, I earned my Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist – Dry Needling (CMPT/DN) specialty certification. Since then, I have completed more than 130 hours of continuing education specifically focused on dry needling and myofascial techniques. My passion for this approach has also led me to become a faculty member with Myopain Seminars, where I teach dry needling to clinicians throughout the country.

I have found tremendous value in dry needling as a tool for addressing myofascial dysfunction and helping people improve how they move and function. My approach is centered around understanding the individual—not simply treating a specific area—and creating a plan tailored to each person's needs and goals.

Beyond the Practice

While I’m proud of the professional titles I’ve earned, some of the titles that mean the most to me are much simpler: husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandson, friend, follower of Christ, optimist, and adventurer. These are the roles that keep me grounded and remind me that there is much more to life than what we do for a living.

When I'm not with my family or working with clients, you can usually find me following my favorite teams: Maryland Basketball, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Baltimore Orioles.

Being from Western Maryland, it means a great deal to me to have the opportunity to serve the community I grew up in. I look forward to getting to know you, understanding your goals, and helping you discover what your body is capable of through dry needling interventions.
